Türkiye scraps the TRY 3,000 e-Arsiv threshold and mandates UBL-TR 1.2.1 from 2 February 2026
Two changes reshaped Turkish invoicing in early 2026. From 1 January 2026 the Revenue Administration (GIB) removed the TRY 3,000 e-Arsiv threshold entirely: any business not registered on the e-Fatura network must now issue every invoice electronically through e-Arsiv regardless of value, which pulls a large population of small businesses into mandatory electronic issuance for the first time. Separately, updated technical packages for e-Fatura and e-Arsiv carrying new validation rules, code lists and the UBL-TR 1.2.1 schema became mandatory from 2 February 2026. The e-Fatura turnover threshold was revalued to TRY 3 million of prior-year gross sales, and the general invoicing threshold to TRY 12,000 (TRY 36,000 for jewellery).
